Rider Categories

Rider Categories allow a Fare to contain more than one cost, based on population-demographic Fares (such as a cost reduction for certain groups.)

They are only available for applications that are using GTFS+.

Create, Edit or Delete a Rider Category

Rider Categories are submenu of the Fares Dashboard

By default, GTFS Manager includes several common Rider Categories:

1. Seniors
2. Disabled
3. Students
4. Youth
5. Veterans

There are also editable categories that can be defined to an agency's specific use case (such as Medicaid recipient)

The full list of Rider Categories also allows for editing the name of the Rider Category:
